Namie Amuro, Awards and Tours
The MTV Video Music Awards Japan 2009 were held on Saturday May 30 at the Saitama Super Arena.
Namie Amuro won Best Female Video for her video for "New Look" beating out superstars like Thelma Aoyama, Beyonce, Britney Spears and Hikaru Utada.
She also won Best R&B Video for the video "Sexy Girl".
Namie is currently on her "Best Fiction tour" which will wind up on July 12, 2009 at Shanghai Grand Stage in Shanghai, China.
A DVD of her performance at Yoyogi National Gymnasium in Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan was made on April 28 and April 29, 2009.
The tour is expected to set an attendance record for a Japanese female artist, with over 450,000 tickets sold.

Mao Inoue
Lovely Japanese actress Mao Inoue was born on January 9, 1987 in Yokohama, Japan.
Mao has been acting since the age of five, but she got national attention in the TV drama Kids War in 1999.
She was cast as the star of the Japanese TV show Hana Yori Dango (based on the Japanese manga Boys Over Flowers) in 2005 which was very sucessful.
So succesful in fact that it lead to a sequel, Hana Yori Dango 2 in 2007.
And it didnt stop there, after Hana Yori Dango 2 aired, Hana Yori Dango Final was made as a movie.
Mao has appeared in over 40 TV dramas!
Add to this 5 movies, plus stage performances and you can see why Mao is so popular.
